Emmaus Village

We have close links with the Emmaus Youth Village in Consett.

Every year we encourage our Year 5 children to participate in a residential retreat for two nights at the Emmaus Village. The theme of the retreat this year focused on the Jubilee Year: “Pilgrims of Hope!”. A fantastic time was had by all.

In Year 6, the children participate in the youth festival with other Year 6 children from different primary schools in the Summer term. This is a reflective day of prayer, liturgical dance and group activities, which allow the children to reflect on themselves, their community and the wider world.

“We aim to encourage young people into a relationship with Christ and fully into the life of the Church.” YMT Mission Statement
